Base Taille Pendant and Bracelet

Base Taille is a form of etching to create a pattern or design, which creates a chiaroscuro effect when it is filled with transparent enamels. You will practice enameling on a pre etched pendant while your bracelet pieces are etching.
Kit Fee of $25 payable to Instructor at class time includes (Optional, you may choose to bring your own):
- Pre cut copper bracelet pieces
- Pre cut and etched pendant
- Copper jump rings
- Etching solution
- Enamels
- Small sifter
Supplies provided by the Instructor for use in workshop: Torches, Enamel powders
Tools and Supplies needed if you don’t buy the kit:
- 20 gauge copper sheet (at least 1 ½” x 12”) or pre-cut shapes
- 15 - 14 gauge copper wire for jump rings
- Small enamel sifter
- Bench pin
- Jeweler’s saw and blades (#00 and #1)
Tools all students must bring:
- Flat and round nose pliers
- Files, fine sandpaper,
- Center punch
- Hammers (small hammers for using the center punch and shaping bracelet pieces)
- Safety Glasses
- Dremel tool or similar for drilling and #56 drill bits or 1/16 inch drill bit
- Apron
- Rubber gloves
- #3 Round paint brush
