First half of class: Learn to make and design copper bezel(s) with a cloisonne designs using soldering with bronze brazing rod pallions. This method is the easiest method of soldering especially for a beginner and also gives the experienced metal worker another method of soldering to add to their bag of techniques. Second half of class: Learn to dilute and melt encaustic waxes and then to add them to the cloisonne copper bezel cups using fire to add depth and color. Last step is to learn how to mix resin and add to top of wax to add protective layer to jewelry. Due to curing time, students will have option to finish in class and pick up later that night, next day or be sent home with enough resin to finish at home.
