Painting on silk is easy, fun and addicting. In this workshop you will learn the Serti method of silk painting to produce beautiful items for your home and personal use. No art experience is necessary to achieve immediate success. If you wish to have a design on your silk pieces, patterns will be available.

As you learn to create texture, and use resists to define shapes, you will practice the techniques on Luminaries, Sun Catchers, and Passport Purses. The purses are the perfect size for traveling; you can wear them under your jacket, they are the perfect size for a passport and your cell phone. You will have the opportunity to complete 3 projects in the workshop.

With the skills you learn, you will be able to continue on your own at home and paint larger items such as scarves and banners.
