Not sure what to do with either those leftover experimental gelli prints or scraps of beautiful thick papers? In this fun workshop I'll teach you how to make your own hand-bound sketchbook/journal from single sheets of paper or heavy boards. I love to use old book pages as backgrounds in my artwork, but was left with all these lovely old book covers. I also love experimenting with printmaking and always seemed to have lots of test prints laying around. So what is a visual journaler to do? Why grab those "scraps" and make a book out of them! This bookbinding technique is unique for single sheets of heavy paper, or heavy boards. There is no need to fold and trim papers to make a signature. All shapes and sizes of single sheets of thick papers will work. Book Kits include supplies needed to make mini sample books during the morning and binding thread for a larger personal book you will create in the afternoon.
