This is a 3 hour workshop.

Student Level: Beginner

Prerequisite: Minimal hand sewing knowledge (running stitch, tacking stitch)

Students will learn how to manipulate fine silk fabrics into beautiful flowers. They will also learn how to apply them to the surface of their choice. There will be samples of the flowers attached to various surfaces for inspiration and demonstration.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $55 All silks, stamen, cords, beads, and other textiles needed to complete each flower, plus extra fabric so that students can make additional flowers at home.

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

  • Glue applicator

Student should bring:

  • Scissors: embroidery, straight, sharp point.
