You probably think pockets are just what you find on your pants. In this full day, you will learn out to think outside the box to find unusual places to make pockets. We will upcycle vintage children clothing provided by the instructor. You will also learn may fun ways to create pockets out of unexpected items of clothing. Then you will use these pockets to hide your secret notes, love letters, precious memorabilia from grand-parents or keepsakes that you want to have all in one place. We will construct a book with fabric and make pockets from baby clothes, hats, and many surprises. Then you will bind your book in a fun and innovative binding. Pages are 4 wide by 4 tall. You will experiment with some very simple sewing as well as attaching techniques to bring your fabrics, laces and pockets together. Prior knowledge of sewing is not necessary. Many methods will require no sewing at all. Instructor will demonstrate ways to construct your book without any sewing. Sewing is optional. Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):
