Colored pencils are a wonderfully versatile and portable art medium that can be used to create and enhance art projects. In this class you will learn how to use colored pencils to create unique tonal effects through layering. You'll develop your skills in blending, shading, color mixing, and drawing on different surfaces. We'll complete three simple projects that incorporate a variety of colored pencil techniques. You do not have to be skilled at drawing to enjoy this class!
A $5 materials fee is payable to instructor at class time for a variety of papers for you to work on along with basic supplies and handouts.
Supply List:
You'll need to bring a set of colored pencils (with a minimum of 24 colors) and a pencil sharpener. The pencils can be either regular colored pencils or watercolor pencils. You may also want to have a notebook and pencil/or pen.
