Have you ever wanted to extract shapes from a variety of materials where scissors and knives “just won’t cut it”?  Over the past 40 years, Tom has trained hundreds of studio employees of Thomas Mann Design to use the jewelers saw. This workshop will guide you as you learn to use the simple yet amazing jewelers saw. This class will prep students at all skill levels for other courses that require a sawing know-how.

In this very special class, Thomas Mann delivers instruction in the use of the jewelers like no one ever has before. His succinct understanding of one of the primary tools of metalsmithing guarantees that you’ll be sawing like a champ in under three hours. Now you’ll be able to saw precise designs out of everything from paper to steel. And you’ll also leave with several finished charms for bracelets or necklaces and small sculptures from that sawing experience. This workshop is perfect for scrapbookers looking to step up their technical skills.
