Start by making the links that serve as the base for this bracelet; we will review good technique for producing consistent, quality links. Pull together a special collection of beads, and then using a variety of head pins, bead caps and spacers we will wire wrap each bead.  Assemble the beads and links and you have a bracelet that reflects your unique style.  This is a great project for “orphan” beads the ones and twos left over at the end of projects or special collections of beads like vintage Lucite or fruit shapes, especially if you are inclined to a specific color palette.  Ones and twos come together to create a beautiful ensemble.

Optional Kit fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes: 16 gauge dead soft sterling silver wire; 16 gauge copper wire for practice; 20 gauge dead soft sterling wire

If not purchasing the kit, students must bring:

  • 3 feet 16 gauge dead soft sterling silver or copper wire
  • 1.5 feet 16 gauge copper wire for practice
  • 2 feet 20 gauge dead soft sterling silver or copper wire

Supply/Tool List (all students must bring):

  • 15 - 25  2” plain and fancy headpins - sterling silver, silver plate or copper
  • 12 - 20 small and medium decorative bead caps, metal to match your wire - sterling, plate, pewter or copper
  •   6 tiny decorative bead caps, metal to match your wire - sterling, plate, pewter or copper
  • 10 - 15 coordinating beads of your choice
  •   6 - 10 small coordinating beads of your choice
  • Clasp - toggle, large lobster claw, or other closure in metal to match your wire
    • - Bring choices with a selection of beads, spacers, bead caps and head pins so you can make yourself a lush bracelet.  If you find yourself thinking “I just realized I have the perfect bead for this at home” not to worry, you can always add it when you get home.
