Discover new ways to be expressive in this exciting pop-up class! Have fun learning how to make your own creative pop-up designs and use them with specialty cards and book-making. This class will explore various methods and techniques from simple basics to the more sophisticated and versatile V-fold mechanism. Materials will be provided to make your own set of templates, a sampler pop-up book, and more if time allows.
Kit fee of $10 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
- Abundance of colored cardstock to make multiple pop-ups
- Plain card for templates and template sampler
- Small glue applicator for details
Instructor will supply for use in class:
- Misc materials for decorative use (ribbon, stickers, markers, colored pencils, etc.)
- Extra adhesives and glue brushes
- Extra #11 cutting blades for xacto knives
Students should bring:
- Basic paper arts kit:
- pencil
- scissors
- craft knife
- cutting mat
- scoring tool
- cutting edge
- ruler
- See-thru ruler with grid lines would be very helpful
- Small protractor to make angles
- Adhesive:
- double stick tape and/or tape runner
- glue stick
- small amount of PVA glue
