I have loved art and making things my entire life. While raising my family I taught art in both public and private schools. Now I am a full time artist, and love teaching workshops to share what I have learned and enjoyed for so many years.
I have worked with most mediums at one time or another, with a strong focus on B&W Photography in earlier years. About 20 years ago I was bitten by the 'Origami Bug' and my drawing and painting evolved to encompass the Paper Arts and Mixed Media. I call my personal artwork "Paper Dream Paintings", in which I combine Eastern and Western sensibilities and techniques to create whimsical tableaux.
I particularly love making artist's books, since I can combine my love of paper arts with many of my other art skills under one cover!
I founded an origami club in Tucson, AZ to share the fun of learning origami. This group is called Origami LAFF (Lyric Arts Folding Fest) and meets monthly; it is free and open to the public, so if you'd like to come fold with us, let me know!
