What do potato chips and vinegar have to do with Patinas? EVERYTHING! Do you love the variety of metals and patinas you see in mixed media, collage and book arts? Enjoy this workshop and leave empowered with an understanding of techniques and materials; be ready to breathe new life into your work! The teacher will provide metal, metal mesh, precious metal foil, mica and all solutions for your workshop projects.
Using some common kitchen ingredients and lots of patina solutions and techniques, you will create a journal filled with recipes to add a rich patina to paper, copper and brass. The teacher will provide you with complete instructions on labels you can simply stick into your journal. You can focus on creating your own sample to adhere to the page with the instructions on it resulting in your own patina reference guide. Your work will be transformed! Care for a chip?
