This workshop is both technique and project: During most of the workshop you’ll be learning and playing with 3 printmaking techniques: screen printmaking, monoprinting and collagraph. You will be creating an endless amount of prints which you will use at the last hour to create a mixed media book-quet: A book full of mixed media flowers.
Kit fee of $7 payable to instructor at class time includes screens, additional inks, additional printing paper, contact paper, paper for books
Supply list:
4" rubber brayer
2 colors of water based screen printing ink (smallest jar)
3 colors of water based block printmaking ink
3 colors of water based monoprint ink
25 pages of regular 8.5x11 colored copy paper
10 cardstock weight 9x18 (approx.) paper (you may cut a bigger sheet)
Scissors
Exacto knife
Big glue sticks
Optional:
A small squeegee (app.6"), disposable gloves, newsprint paper, paper towels
