Let’s try something different with those old postcards with nifty images on the front and writing on the back. We will do Emulsions Transfers of the front photo images and transfer onto the back with all the writing. Instant intrigue and collage! These are great as part of a collage, a hanging tag, or simply matted and framed. There will be other paper available if you choose not to do the process with postcards. The Emulsion Transfer has an attitude by itself with funky edges that are easily manipulated. Color is brighter then the Image Transfer and you can use images with more black in them. Class size is limited to twelve students for more individual attention. Samples shown use the postcard images transferred to the back. This is a class for all levels and is a process and product class. Please email me if you have questions regarding your chosen images.
Kit fee of $10 payable to instructor at class time includes Polaroid film, booklet with instructions, materials needed for transferring, receptor sheets (papers, wood), collage components and images to share.
Supply list:
4-8 postcards with good clarity
Other images if not doing postcards
Transparencies for layering over images and/or images printed on vellum
Scissors
Fine black sharpie
