Metal elements combine to create a bright and shiny magpie’s dream of a journal. In a combination of process and project the journal is embellished with glass beads and copper “beads” that are an integral part of the binding. Hanging strap and nail h eads further enhance the already textured finish. The book is completed with a copper button closure (included). As time allows we’ll paint pages to continue our colorful journey. Pictures don’t do justice to this fun and quirky journal.
A $10.00 kit fee payable to instructor at class time covers the tape, copper elements and hanging strap.
Teacher also provides book board, needle, waxed linen thread, beads and inks.

16 pieces of 140 lb. watercolor paper (or it’s equivalent), cut or torn to 7 1/2 ” x 11” (size corrected 6/22)
16 up holstery nail heads
Krylon Leafing pen in Gold
Awl and cushion (like a mouse pad)
Hammer and mat
