‘Looking for the Way’ Metal clay and Faux Bone™ pendant
$135
Louise Duhamel and Richard Salley

Student level: All levels

For this wonderfully expressive, reversible pendant, we will be working in metal clay, epoxy resin and one of the most versatile new materials to emerge – Faux Bone™. First a metal clay donut is formed and fired. Then an epoxy “window” is cast into the donut. An image, writing or any charm is then placed behind the window and sealed in place. The reverse side is formed with Faux Bone™, a material so strong you can stamp it cut it, carve it, hammer it, inlay color, emboss it, and then cold connect it to the metal clay with rivets.

A Kit fee of $20 payable to teacher at class time includes: some clay tools, molds, saws, bench pins, some files, electric engraver, drill, drill bits, rivet hammers, epoxy resin, white glue, pliers, and a variety of other materials and tools to enhance the class experience
