Letter Tool Time
$135
Lisa Engelbrecht

Student Level: All levels

Its time to learn new letter styles and liven up your stash of old writing pens and pencils. We’ll try all the latest fun tools. I’ll introduce you to some very fun and easy styles of lettering using new pens in innovative ways. The new Parallel Pens are extremely versatile - we’ll write on fabric and paper - make rainbow and metallic letters and even make gilded letters using these cartridge pens. But these pens are only the beginning! Glaze pens, Wite Out pens, Pilot B ink pens, Stickles, t shirt paint and many others unconventional tools will make our text amazing. We’ll write with No Blot pencils and gel pens and spray with water for neat effects - the possibilities are endless. I’ll also have vintage pen nibs and walnut ink to try scratchy hand lettering that’s rustic and grungy. We’ll take conventional calligraphy and make it easy-anyone can do this type of lettering! The artist will bind these samples into a simple book for future reference.

Materials Fee of $5 is payable to instructor at class time includes: metallic powders, No Blot Pencils, inks, gesso, walnut ink, play paper and fabric, vintage pen nibs, etc.
