Learn the process of painting Landscapes of Mind from self-taught master painter Anne Grgich. Experience and learn Anne's compositional collage method of organizing pre-selected imagery to develop color fields and transform into elemental shapes with a variety of materials and mediums. Anne gives individual attention with layout and painting for all levels. Play with the brush and find your visionary edge. Play with acrylic asphaltum tar and color washes, incorporate flocked wall paper, transparencies, ribbon and velvet, lace, dried leaves, cheese cloth and molding paste, natural pigments combined with glues and gels, beeswax and transform collage to create fitted-deep jewel-like effects. Learn to create stunning abstract portraiture imagery and find your painting and collage bliss. Anne starts with an introduction to find out where everyone is at with painting and a short slide lecture where she generously shares her secrets that will inspire an unforgettable day of art making. In class you create two paintings: One color collage and one black and white study.
Kit Fee of $ 10.00 is payable to instructor at class time and includes Glue, Acrylic Paints, Golden Acrylic Glazes, Transparencies, Black and White Collage items, Asphaltum & Gold, Beeswax, Heat Guns, Experimental Papers, Paper Towels, Sandpaper, Various textural substructures, surprises, lots of collage to add to the mix and a Handout with illustrated instructions.
