Come and have fun making a fab art box to hold your supplies, treasures, or trades! We’ll play with paint, stamps and collage material to create a functional piece of art that is beautiful inside and out. I’ll guide you with color and composition decisions and help you let go and let the juices flow! Your box can have a theme or just be cool. You’ll refill “the creative well” and have a great time. “The Complete Guide to Altered Imagery” by Karen Michel, features one of my art boxes in the gallery section!
Supply List:
Cigar box or any sturdy box
Collage material: photos, papers, etc.
Gel Medium for gluing.
Paints: acrylic and/or watercolor-several colors you want to use (cheap craft paints/watercolors are fine)
Water cup for painting
Paint brushes and a few cheap 1” paint brushes
Glue stick
Scissors
Ex-acto knife and cutting mat
A few rubber stamps & permanent stamp pads (Staz-on works best)
Optional: Various coloring and writing tools: water soluble oil pastels, crayons, watercolor crayons, markers, etc. Your favorite alphabet stamps.
