Funky. magical. fantasy collage creations…DIVA Fairie paper dolls are whimsical collages made from hand painted papers, fusion-dyed collage, layered with hand painted transparencies and crayon colored-dyed images. L earn paper painting and dyeing techniques including sequin monoprints, flower stamping, drizzled prints, stenciling and glazing. Learn how to doodle letters, words and faces,” graffiti” transfers Learn to adorn paper collage patches with my version funky “freestyle” stitching techniques. Learn my “graffiti” style journal pages and jumpstarts to write stories about your paper fairies and create a pocket storybook to house your DIVA faire dolls.

Kit Fee of $15 payable to instructor at class time includes: Collage Unleashed aRt! kit of papers/fabrics & inspiration guide, collage images, “girlie” faces and doodles, transparencies, laminating supplies, crayons, iron-on transfers, heat-n-bond lite

Supplies Provided by Teacher : watercolor paints, glitter, pens, mark making tools, unmounted stamps/printing plates and stencils, doodling tools (Prismacolor pencils, gel pens (soufle and black glaze), brush markers, glitter/paint markers

Favorite heavy bodied, fluid and ink acrylic colors
Acrylic glazing medium
1 - 8.5x11 sheet of acrylic
15- 2-ply white paper towels ( Kirkland from Costco)
10 – sheets of 18”x 20” freezer paper
2” flat brush (hardware store brushes work great)
various flat paint brushes
2- 1” foam brushes
Plastic paint scrapper
water containers
Brayer
Golden soft gel gloss (16oz.)
Scissors
Gesso – (I prefer Liquitex Basics - student grade)
Black chisel tip sharpie
Various size tip black permanent pens
White out correction pen
Scissors
Painting smock
Elmer's Glue - 8oz.
Black & white photocopies of images/writing/journal pages/line art - sharp contrast images work best. TIP: enlarge symbols, letters, words
Collage ephemera/paper/fabric scraps in various colors & textures
sewing machine – if you would like to create paper dolls embellished with stitching this is required. You also have the option to glue/fuse/tape/hand sew if you don’t bring a sewing machine
