Circus Shrine
$115
Claudia Roulier
Student Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Students will use personal imagery and collected objects and found objects to create small reliquaries; intimate spaces housing and using objects which relate to the circus theme: think tigers and lions, circus dogs, bears, clowns, elephants, balloons, cotton candy, peanuts and the acts which swoop over our heads This workshop will cover several methods of assembly as we put the unusual and unlike materials together. Bring those things that remind you of your younger days and the excitement and fun of the circus. Or perhaps you are one of the ones fascinated by the side shows - bring some old photos or drawings of the people that were there! Students may not finish in class time but I am always available for help later.
Kit fee of $8 payable to instructor at class time includes use of the power tools, odds and ends, some ephemera, transparencies and rust chemicals
