In this project oriented workshop, Students will make a mixed-media container that would be at home in any gallery. Students will learn how to create their own paper designs for collage, as well as abstract design painting. The class will be working with acrylic paints. An additional lesson will be given in making paperclay embellishments to be used on the containers.
Instructor will provide: Container already prepared with gesso, wooden legs, paints, adhesives, paper-clay, original ‘Bett-Designed’ collage papers for class use and handout
Supply List:
Scissors
Several small brushes, including a #18/0 size brush
Ex-acto knife
Ruler
Pencil
Optional : students may bring additional acrylic paints of their own favorite color choices
