In this class, students will make a unique journal, using the long stitch technique. The journal has blank pages with a leather spine. The cover is stenciled and textured, then painted. Each person’s book will be unique! Students can embellish the leather spine and stitches with beads and fibers to make it an even more unique book! Inside pages may be decorated as time allows.

Kit fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes: All paints and mediums, Book Covers, Inside book pages, Handouts, Some beads and fibers

Supply List:
1” paint brush made for acrylics (a golden nylon brush is highly recommended)
Japanese screw punch with small bit (or similar tool)
water container
Needle with large eye
Cropadile (if you have one) or eyelet setting tool
Awl
