Using silver sheeting to create the base for the necklace and torch fired copper clay, students will create a necklace that is hinged. Students will have an opportunity to use copper clay that can be torch fired for the focal points. Hinges in this segmented necklace, allow the necklace to have movement and interest. Metal applications and cold connections will also be covered.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $50.00 includes:
  • 24 gauge silver sheeting
  • Copper clay
  • Findings and embellishments
  • All wires and cold connections
  • All patinas

Student should bring:

  • Hammer
  • Bench block
  • Texturing hammers if desired
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Metal scissors or snips
  • Wire cutters
