I'm fortunate to have been raised by a very artistic, talented mother who encouraged my creativity and bravery from a very early age. Having traveled a number of creative avenues, I eventually fell in love with metalsmithing. I've studied metal arts and jewelry design from some incredibly talented artists over the last few years. I love to transform bare sheets of metal into small, handcrafted, wearable works of art. I use my hands, tools and fire to forge the metal, and add rich texture and color with etching, fire, patinas and enamels. Each unique, handcrafted piece is inspired by the colors of the rainbow. My work is shown in several art galleries in the Texas Hill Country.
I work in my studio, in Wimberley, Texas, full time. I teach workshops and offer one-on-one, personal instruction to students eager to learn metal crafting techniques. I love to teach others the art of transforming metal, creating jewelry and so much more.
I'm very involved in the arts in Texas. I currently serve as President of the Wimberley Valley Art League. I also work with the Arts and Cultural Alliance, and serve as Chair of the annual Studio Tour, the "Wimberley Alive" Art Show and the Civic Club's annual Arts Spring Event.
