Learn several mixed media techniques to create your own unique painted papers and transparencies. While playing and experimenting you will learn how to layer with several techniques including drawing and mark-making, collage, painting, spraying, stenciling, stamping, paste paper, print-making, collagraph on the paper and transparencies. Using your painted papers, collage materials and transparencies you will create 4 different book forms, pocket accordion fold, one sheet folio with pamphlet stitch signatures, double door folio and a covered signature. The books will be placed inside of a pre-fabricated box that each student will be given in class.
