The word "nuno" means cloth in Japanese. It was first done about 30 years ago and is a relatively new art form. We will arrange (the artsy part) wool roving onto silk gauze and manipulate the silk and fibers into a whole new fabric to make a scarf. I will have silk ribbons, Angelina fibers, and other interesting add-ins to make your scarf unique. Not needle felt, not old school wet felting, but easy to wear, soft, colorful, art around your neck. Beginning nuno felting for the absolute novice. Your brain will be on fire with the possibilities and it's something you will want to do again and again. Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):
