Students will learn to weave 2 small rib construction baskets. Using Mary's free-form approach, she will guide students through creating smallish woven basket - sculpture - leaf shapes. Using willow for the frames and round reed and cane for the weavers, students will learn a variety of tricks to make this form of basketry fun, spontaneous, impressive and easy. Students should complete the basket in class, and start another one during the class time if there is time, but have the material and knowledge to make the second at home.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $38.00 - All materials for class will be supplied - sharing scissors will also be available during the class.

Student should bring:

  • Scissors
  • Water bottle
  • Old towel
  • Small bucket
  • (If flying and cannot bring items - there will be ones to share)
