Learn a variety of techniques, ideas and approaches as you work on a specially developed project in this workshop. You will learn ideas and techniques that can be applied to ANY art form.

By popular demand, I'm teaching a brand new mixed media class. Roll up your sleeves, don your aprons and prepare to get messy! We'll explore a variety of mediums including watercolor, gouache, and much, much more. Create richly painted pages which you will assemble into a canvas covered book. Learn new ways of exploring color and layering in this unique workshop.

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

  • Kelly doesn't travel light and will be bringing acrylics, acrylic mediums, stencils, rubber stamps, ink pads, pens, markers and all of the necessary materials to create the project (bookbinding supplies, paper, etc...) to all of the classes. Please read the supply list for what you should bring.

Student should bring:

  • Apron
  • tacky glue
  • scissors
  • bone folder
  • metal ruler
  • one inch chip/bristle brush to paint (if you have a 2" brush you may want that, as well, but only if you have one)
  • waxed paper
  • paper towels
  • permanent ink pad (like Staz-On only IF you have one)
  • water container

Optional:

  • baby wipes (optional but nice to have)

Some workshops may require that you bring supplies or tools that you may not presently possess. If you'd like to place an advance order for supplies & tools for pick up at the on-site store when you arrive at AU, contact:
