The artists that take our breath away understand the play of light and dark. The range of light to dark in a painting, the "values", draw us to our focal point and create the illusion of depth. Let's explore what magic we can conjure with basic black, white and shades of grey, using winged fairies as our inspiration. We will use our basic black palette and a variety of mixed media tools, exercises and yes, draw faces while creating an 11" x 14" painting. I will have some face tools and techniques available for beginners, so no fear!

Our goal is to complete an 11" x 14" painting.
