For as long as I can remember I have always been drawing or doodling. I got in trouble in kindergarten for doodling on the outside of my report card envelope. I was lucky that my mom was always very creative so she just smiled at the envelope. Over the years I drew my own paper dolls, made them as gifts for my friends. In High School I was lucky enough to have every kind of art class, fashion illustration, jewelry making, printing, pottery, life drawing etc…

Real life took over and I spent the past 25 years managing restaurants at the same time I continued to paint and draw. I took as many on line classes and local classes as possible over the years. I finally made the jump, left management, found a part-time serving job and started chasing my real passion. Since leaving I have been published and featured twice in Somerset magazine, started selling locally in Orlando Florida, and started teaching workshops in Florida. This year I have added writing workshops along with my painting workshops to help others find their true voice in their art.

As I have grown older I have felt the need to tell the stories of my own relationships with women who have impacted my life. Color and paint seems to help me express how important people like my mother and my friends are to me. These relationships help guide me, support me, and make me a better person so it seems natural to want to try and capture these stories and moments.
