Colorist Caroline Jasper's contemporary Impressionist paintings are "always about the light", says the artist. "It can dramatize the most ordinary places." Red is her trademark. Each painting begins on red ground, which serves to invigorate visual interaction against loosely applied colors.

Author of the books Powercolor-Master Color Concepts for All Media, and Painters' Guide & Color Manual, plus DVDs Color Moves-Painting Water With Oils, Landscape Painting on Red Ground, Dramatic Depth in Painting, and Powercolor Vol.1, Vol.2, Vol.3. Jasper contributed to Sean Dye's book, Painting with Water-soluble Oils. She has been also featured in periodicals such as Focus Santa Fe, Northlight, Artists' Magazine, Decor, and American Artist Magazine.

Jasper has exhibited at museums and galleries throughout the United States. With an MFA from Maryland Institute College of Art, Baltimore, Jasper has been high school art department chair, Maryland College of Art and Design Admissions Advisory Board member, exhibition juror, lecturer and workshop instructor nationwide.
