Jane Eileen is a mixed media artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher. She can't remember not ever getting excited over all things to do with paper, writing utensils, or sewing in what she calls her scrappy chic style. She is the middle sister from the family of a librarian mother and an artist/musician father which can explain a lot. She is now semi-retired after over 30 years in public schools, having worked with students from Kindergarten through Grad School, but still loves teaching, even after all those "rodeos." Through those experiences, she has learned incredible patience and ways to design projects that are either what she loves to call "crooked on purpose" or that students really have to try hard to do what the kids used to call "mess up." She knows even adult students tend to appreciate that kind of design. She fully believes there is an inner artist in all of us and that relaxation and creative expression are a necessary in life in order to be at 100% for everything else life throws at us. Besides her love of teaching, she loves learning from her students and seeing all the amazing work they do in her workshops. She would love to see YOU in class.
Jane lives in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area and teaches in her studio, and the surrounding area. Her work has been published multiple times in both Sew Somerset and Haute Handbags as well as Art Quilting Studio, Stampington's Facebook 7,500 Celebration Issue, Somerset Studio Gallery, and The Crafty Diva’s D.I.Y. Stylebook.
