Paper Art Lite

If you have been longing for a class where you can relax, create and walk away with an armload of exquisite and useful portfolios, folders, and envelopes of all sizes and styles, Paper Art Lite was designed just for you.

Take a break. Be frivolous. Think Art Spa! No angst over journaling or trying to make your altered book look like you dragged it behind your car across the desert. In this class we promise pretty (and practical) solutions for organizing projects-in-progress, ephemera, images and papers.

For inspiration in color and design, we will explore the style of three artists:

Sarah Lugg – Gather items from nature for Sarah's au naturale look. We'll supply sea glass, seashells, starfish, bits and baubles from the milliner's shop, antique buttons and more!

Carolyn Quartermaine – Rich silks, gold script letters and vibrant colors will saturate this portfolio with eye-catching color. Bring jewel tone and metallic papers to add to our stash of luscious watercolor paper and foil to personalize for your own Quartermaine masterpiece.

Jill Schwarz – Capture the essence of Jill in layers of pretty papers, ribbon, velvets and fastenings. We will have metal findings, chic paperie, yards of ribbons and more to play with. You can bring old photos or labels to title your projects in classic Schwartz style.

There will be a $12 materials fee payable to the instructor at class time.
