This fun, no-fail workshop has been offered only once before - at my Creativity Retreat in Santa Fe last in spring of 2004. It was a tremendous success, with everyone so proud of the canvases they had created. One of the most daunting moments for most artists is the one when they face a blank canvas or a blank piece of watercolor paper and wonder what to do to be worthy of it. All that pristine white space - all that potential!
In this workshop, we face both a blank canvas and a piece of fine watercolor paper, but don't be afraid. By the end of our 3 hours, we will have transformed these scary things into a fabulous, ready-to-hang, work of art - using watercolor and acrylic paint techniques that will also be useful for other type projects in your future. All students who have taken my workshops know that I will not lead you anywhere that you cannot succeed, and in fact, outshine your wildest expectations. And this is no exception. This canvas will hang in a place of honor in your home and compliment you for years to come!
All supplies furnished including 16"x20" gallery wrap canvas.
Please bring these tools (and wear old clothes):
A fat juicy, "pointed round" brush made for watercolor. Synthetic is good in a size 8, 10 or 12.
A metal ruler and bone folder
rubber cutting scissors
double stick tape
