Karen Michel

Karen Michel is a mixed media book artist, painter and art journaler. She lives on Long Island, New York where she runs a non-profit art center for kids and adults with her husband-to-be Carlo Thertus called The Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation (www.caskfoundation.org). Karen attended the School of Visual Arts in NYC and The Institute of American Indian Art in Santa Fe, NM studying the fine arts.

Her books, paintings and collages have been exhibited internationally and can also be seen in the books Collage for the Soul by Rockport Publishing, The Decorated Page by Lark Books, True Colors (published by Somerset Studios) and the upcoming books Altered Books by Rockport Publishing, Art Journaling by Rockport Publishing and was the featured Artist in the July/August issue of Somerset Studio Magazine.
