Create from scratch, a scrumptious, luscious, handmade, hard bound journal with all black pages. Learn how to work on, write on, collage on, paint on top of black paper. I love working on dark pages and after this class, so will you! Learn a plethora of new tips, tricks and secrets to working on top of deep, dark, soulful pages...You will create the journal from scratch and then spend time working inside the book on the pages and cover as desired with a variety of NEW mixed media techniques. Learn a variety of ways to add paint, mixed media supplies and collage ephemera onto your pages. We will explore different ways to add paint, glitter, ephemera, mica powders, and a selection of my favorite mediums on top of your journal pages. Learn ways to layer and add color to get the look that YOU want. Learn how to collage and add even MORE color on top of your chosen images and words. This is two classes in one-making a new journal and then learning all new mixed media techniques (I always offer NEW mixed media techniques in my classes, I don't repeat the same ol' same ol'! They're always NEW and DIFFERENT!!!!) Detailed handout included in class...Expand your horizon and step outside of your creativity box with this class!
Supply List: Scissors, bone folder, cork backed metal ruler, brayer, color copied photos, scissors, bone folder, permanent black ink pad (like Memories) and a small favorite selection of collage ephemera, container to hold water, 3 1" foam brushes, 3 brushes to paint with and a container to hold water in.
