I have been a fiber artist most all my life. I started weaving potholders as an adolescent and making Barbie doll clothes at the age of ten. As an adult I became a weaver in 1983 and began dyeing my own yarns to weave and create clothing and accessories. I continued with dyeing techniques to color scarves, stoles, and fabric for linings and other garments. I have a line of scarves and stoles I call “wayward threads”. These are sewn pieces using fabric stabilizer. I also dabble in devore velvets. I began teaching dye classes in 1992 and over the years have taught warp painted yarns, shibori dyed scarves and other resist techniques on scarf blanks and fabric.
