Barbara Matthiessen

Barbara Matthiessen's design work covers a wide range of styles and mediums.  She has a specialized degree from an interior design school and worked for a design firm before entering the industry as a full time free lance designer.  She has written 3 books, 43 booklets, contributed to 20 multi-artist books and has done countless designs for magazines.  While continuing to design for publication, she also works for manufacturers developing kits, projects sheets and sales models. She had been very active in Society of Craft Designers, working on various committees, acting as chairman of the Mentor program for two years, Chairman of the 2002 Seminar and is on the Board of Directors.
