Assemblage Screens - WORKSHOP FILLED -

Looking for a fun and funky class where you can be creative and play with cool junk? This class is for you! Students will create three Assemblage Screens in class in various sizes. Use these completed pieces to hang on a door knob, wall or embellish an altered book or journal! Students will use a variety of old and new metal items in combination to create unique assemblages. Student packets will vary and students will be free to use their own creativity while being guided by the instructor and instructor samples. Kits may contain a variety of things such as hinges, screws, cap nuts, wick tabs, sash window locks, tin can lids, rusty washers, metal slide frames in different finishes, rusty wire, watch parts, ribbon, hemp, old keys and other cool junk. Vintage images and computer generated quotes will also be provided. Students are encouraged to bring any old junk pieces they would like to incorporate into their designs or copies of personal photos. Students will leave with three projects.  

Supply List:
One glue stick
scissors
wire cutters
needle nose pliers
Phillips Head screw driver
heat tool
2 medium foam brushes
wash cloth in a bag or baby wipes

All other materials necessary to complete the project are provided by the instructor.
