Using tumbled beach glass base, rocks and other beautiful focal items, students will create a layer of knotless netting using a fine wire. A variety of colored wire along with copper and silver filled wire will be used in this weaving technique. Students will have an opportunity to layer items under the netting, leave areas open and exposed to create visual interest and add beads in the netting for embellishment and added texture. Students should finish a couple in the class time, but will be given, several items to loop over and the wire needed to complete all projects.

24 gauge copper sheeting
Findings beads and embellishments
All patinas

Student should bring:
Hammer
Bench block
Texturing hammers if desired
Needle nose pliers
Metal scissors or snips
Wire cutters
