This is a 9 hour workshop.

This class is all about learning many basic jewelry-making techniques including some very unique cold construction techniques, simple beginner soldering techniques and intricate wire wrapping. The unique cold construction techniques allow you to create a larger piece, full of detail, all made possible because it is very, very lightweight.

Starting with a classic, easy sweat soldering process - using a torch, a brass disc, a copper tube and pipe cutter we'll create the  bezel. Intricate wire wrapping and twisting, beading and doming will all lend a unique style and look to your necklace.

Since some students will not complete the chain in class, a private link to my online Vimeo will be provided so that you can finish creating  your chains at home. All the material for the chain will be included in the kit plus each student will also be given a hand-dyed silk ribbon with copper sewn edging as an optional "chain".
