Resin Paper Art to Wear

Type of Workshop: Technique with a Project - Student will take home a necklace
Did you know that when resin is applied to paper, magic happens? Your beautiful designs take on an entirely new dimension as the resin wicks into paper fibers and changes not only the look but the feel of your paper creations. It also make paper waterproof. Making resin paper will be taught by instructor demonstration, but students will work with dry paper that has been previously resined to complete a wearable art journal for this evening class. Personalize your necklace with a word of your choice. Techniques taught include metal stamping, cold connection with micro nut and screws, organic wrapped links and making your own clasps.
Kit fee of $12 payable to Instructor at class time includes: all supplies to make the necklace - natural brass blanks, butterfly or heart metal charm, resin paper, beads and crystals, 20 and 22 gauge bronze wire, brass jump rings, brass chain.
Supply list:
- Ball Peen Hammer
- Round Nose Pliers
- Flat Nose Pliers
- Center punch
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Metal hole punch if you have it (instructor will have some to use, but it will make your project go quicker)
- Steel Bench block and pounding mat or cushion to reduce noise
