Student Level:
Beginner
Type of Workshop: Project - Student will go home with the finished toggle clasp.

Students learn basic skills working with metal clay (PMC3), using silver black as a patina, using leaves as a texture, learn how to roll out an even clay snake, drilling holes in dry clay, embed a fine silver jump ring into clay, and using a tumbler to polish the metal.

First they will apply texture to lump clay, cut out the shapes, hand make leaves from the lump clay, attach two pieces together, and work with dry clay by sanding and finishing it before firing it.
