This is a 6 hour workshop taught on two evenings.
Glass casting is HOT! Explore glass casting and make unique glass focal pieces for your jewelry. We will complete a piece of jewelry using found glass and make several cast glass elements (to be picked up after class). The first is cast using a found object. The second is hand-carved to create a unique structure into which glass is cast. We will be drilling, etching and filing to finish the glass and complete a piece of jewelry.
Materials fee of $35 payable to Instructor a class time includes:
- a variety of glass and glass frit
- moldmaking materials
- ring form
- other consumable
Instructor will provide kiln, tools to share.
Students to bring:
- a piece of ocean glass
Optional:
