Gorgeous Gingko!
Thursday $60 Lynne Ann Schwarzenberg 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm Student Level: All levels welcome
Type of Workshop: Project and Process: Students will learn valuable processes while taking home a project as well
Students will learn Lynne Ann’s signature “Brushstroke Caning” technique in fashioning a gorgeous Gingko leaf cane. The cane slices will be used to create a pair of earrings or a pendant using a combination of clay and metal filigree. Brushstroke Caning is a unique and versatile technique invented by the teacher that lends itself not only to leaves but also clay flower petals, feathers, textiles and more. Students will also learn pre-bake finishing and smoothing, attaching the clay to filigree pieces and creating strong jewelry pieces through proper baking, attachment of findings and use of proper adhesives.
Kit fee of $15 payable to Instructor at class time includes: Polymer clay (all clay needed will be provided by the instructor), sterling silver, antique brass or copper earring findings, pendant finding/filigree, eyelets, super glue, brush and applicator, special adhesive material, index cards, baby wipes, cornstarch, scrap clay, various templates, small tile to work on, detailed written and graphical instruction packet.
