Artists will learn to design around stones preparing for shrinkage. We will do both wet and dry construction, create granulation specifically for metal clay, build and assemble hinge components, create a bail, and apply Keum Boo gold all entirely from PMC. They will then polish, patina, set stones and assemble the hinge. Students should bring their chosen suspension method, 2-3mm diameter, leather or rubber cord or 2-3mm silver chain. The one in the photograph is a popcorn chain.
