Incorporating silversmithing techniques while designing with wire opens up a whole new world of creative possibilities. Students will learn to use a hydraulic press, plus basic silversmithing techniques using 14-gauge silver wire, and how to incorporate tube-set bezels.

Kit/Materials Fee (payable to instructor at class time):

  • $50.00 includes:
  • 14 ga Sterling Silver wire
  • medium, easy and extra easy solder
  • 4 mm Sterling Silver tube bezels (5)
  • 4 mm faceted stones (5)

Instructor Provided (for use in-class, and to share):

  • Instructor will provide all other required tools not listed in the supply list.

Student should bring:

  • Jumbo butane torch, butane
  • 6"x6" solder board
  • cookie sheet
  • cross-locking tweezers
  • third hand
  • oval steel bracelet mandrel
  • rubber or rawhide mallet
  • heavy-duty flush cutters
  • chasing hammer
  • steel bench block
  • metal file
