We’re going to extremes with this abstract collage workshop. First we’ll make several of our collage elements, such as combusted origami foil, marbled paper, Tyvek and metal or sculpted accents. We’ll add voluminous textures to our substrates. Carol will discuss the importance of color, composition, texture and tonal values in making eye-stopping abstracts.
All our substrates will be extreme – no squares or simple rectangles. Carol will supply two substrates per student with a minimum ratio of 4:1 (height:width). Learn the one element you can add to your abstract that will vastly increase its appeal to your collectors. Expect to complete two paintings in this intense workshop.Materials Fee: $30 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
