When I fashioned an art doll submission for Stampington's Art Doll Quarterly, and made it into the premier issue, I knew I was onto something fun !
Join me for a creative adventure with fabric,transfers and found objects. Together we will develop a one of a kind art doll with something to say!Materials Fee: $20 payable to Instructor at class time includes:
A base fabric square
A backing fabric square
Black felt
Stuffing
Hand sewing needle and thread
Photo transfer face and quote selection to choose from
A selection of fabrics and trims to get you inspired
A key
WireInstructor will provide the following for use during the workshop:
Sewing machines
Sewing needles, thread, glue
Extra selections of fabrics, laces, trims, buttons and found objects
StuffingStudent should bring:
Sewing scissors
Stuffing tool: professional tool, chopstick, knitting needle
If you want to use a special face (great aunt Bessie) and quote, bring these ready made transfers with you (How to make photo transfers will NOT be covered in class)
Any fabrics, trims or embellishments special to you
